Install guide

Install Pixmora step by step.

Windows and macOS show a warning the first time you open Pixmora. Here is what you will see and what to click.

Why the warning appears

  • Pixmora is not code-signed yet, so your computer cannot confirm who published it. The warning says that the publisher is unknown, not that a virus was found.
  • Only continue with a file you downloaded from pixmora.eu. If it came from anywhere else, delete it and download it again from here.

Windows

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. No administrator rights needed.

  1. 1

    Download the installer

Download PixmoraSetup from the download page, about 200 MB. If your browser says the file is not commonly downloaded, choose to keep it.

  2. 2

Open it and click “More info”

Double-click the file. When the blue “Windows protected your PC” window appears, click the “More info” link in its text.

    Windows protected your PC

Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting.

    Go through the installer

The installer is in Romanian. Click “Instalează acum”, tick “Accept termenii acordului de licență” and continue. Choose “Personalizează” instead if you want another folder.

  5. 5

    Start Pixmora

At the end click “Pornește Pixmora”. Later you will find it on the Desktop and in the Start menu.

macOS

macOS 14 Sonoma or later, on a Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or newer). Intel Macs are not supported.

  1. 1

Download and open the disk image

Download the Pixmora .dmg file from the download page, about 190 MB, and double-click it.

  2. 2

    Drag Pixmora to Applications

In the window that opens, drag the Pixmora icon onto the Applications folder next to it. Then you can eject the disk image.

  3. 3

    Try to open Pixmora once

Open Pixmora from Applications. macOS says it cannot verify the app. Close the message and do not choose to move it to the Trash.

    “Pixmora” was not opened

Apple could not verify that it is free of malware.

If something does not work

There is no “Run anyway” button on Windows.
Click “More info” first: the button only appears after that. If it still does not appear, Smart App Control or your company's settings may be blocking unsigned apps. Write to us and tell us your Windows version.
There is no “Open Anyway” button on Mac.
It appears only after you have tried to open Pixmora, and only for about an hour. Open Pixmora from Applications again, then go back to Privacy & Security.
My antivirus removed the installer.
Write to us with the name of your antivirus and what it reported. Please do not turn your antivirus off to get past it.
My Mac has an Intel processor.
Pixmora does not run on Intel Macs yet. To check yours, open the Apple menu, then About This Mac: it should say M1 or newer.
